On the Cover: Mary Lambert�s Infiltration addresses the suspected causes of Paget disease. This acrylic on paper painting uses many layers of color and wash to create a feeling of depth in the bone images. A strand of DNA, viruses and osteoclasts are introduced on the surface as invaders responsible for the disease.

 

Ms. Lambert, an artist based in Albuquerque, has worked as an editorial illustrator and graphic designer for the past 20 years.
