Quality Assurance in Digital Mammography

Strict adherence to quality control measures in digital mammography is imperative for the growth and evolution of digital mammography, as well as for superior breast cancer detection. This article discusses the advantages of digital mammography compared with film-screen mammography, describes the components of digital mammography systems and provides an overview of quality control requirements for various manufacturers’ digital mammography systems.
