Diagnosis and Management Of Uterine Fibroids
Uterine fibroids are the most common gynecological tumors. Fibroids significantly affect fertility and lead to approximately 200 000 hysterectomies annually in the United States alone.1 Several effective treatments exist, with varying levels of invasiveness and potential complications for fertility. Although its effects on fertility are still uncertain, uterine artery embolization shows promise as a uterus-sparing treatment for fibroids. This article is a Directed Reading.
